I’m Abby Buchmiller—a founder who’s built empires, lost them, and built again.

I took Empire Solar Group from idea to $250M in revenue in just four years, leading one of the fastest-growing residential and commercial solar companies in the country (Inc. 5000, Utah Fast 50). I built a team of 500+ employees, managed a 750+ person dealer channel sales force, opened 20 branches nationwide, and installed over 150MW of solar for 20,000+ homes.

Then, I lost it all.

That collapse taught me more than any success ever could.

Today, I’m the CEO and co-founder of RDCL—a tech-forward labor deployment platform built to scale. I also host Blind Ambitions, a podcast for founders building through adversity, and serve on the advisory board of the Residential Solar Association.

I now consult with CEOs and early-stage founders on the parts of the business that matter most:
